Below is a table of the points assessed by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles for corresponding traffic convictions.  Remember, that the accumulation of 11 points will result in the suspension of your license.  To comport with due process, you may request a hearing before the DMV but, the only thing you can argue is that someone else committed the infractions -- you cannot argue that you were not guilty.  As and for your insurance company -- it must be noted that they have their own point systems that normally do not correspond with the DMV's system.
