Court: Jurors should have had a lesser-charge option for woman accused of kicking cop

ALBANY -- A woman convicted of kicking an Albany police officer in the groin has won the right to a new trial.

On March 27, 2007, Matthew C. Hug secured a major victory for all injured police officers in the State of New York by ensuring that they would continue to be entitled to Social Security Disability Benefits along with their statutorily mandated 207-c benefits.
